Interested in a Career & Becoming a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)?
Here’s what you do.
Step 1: Make an account with the BACB at www.bacb.com
Step 2: Complete a 40 hour training (free one here: https:// autismpartnershipfoundation. org/product/rbt/
Once 40 hours is completed, contact a company to work in order to get in person competency conducted.
– Company will conduct background screening.
– A BCBA will conduct in person competency
– Once passed, you will have to apply with BACB by creating an RBT application and uploading 40 hour training certificate (with your BACB account ID on it), and your in person competency completion.
– Schedule the multiple choice exam at a testing center
– As soon as you pass you are an RBT!
– Start working!

- Utilize electronic data collection system
- Attend case meetings for clients
- Utilize online video web conferencing
- Seek feedback/ provide feedback to staff
- Attend meetings
- Collaborate/communicate with other staff, teachers, parents
